Hi Paul, It is very loud. Get some good Ears as well as some foam ones. You'll need 2 sets.

You will need to wear double hearing protection. Ear plugs and the headphones. Even then with sustained use you will suffer hearing damage. You're looking at 170 decibel level and being "double plugged" will bring it down to 110 which is still loud enough to hurt your ears.
