  • Daniel, per the manual ( kimberamerica.com/media/wysiwyg/manual-download/KIMBER_MicroManual_12-16_FINAL.PDF ), the thumb safety cannot be engaged unless the hammer is fully cocked and the slide is fully forward. So a simple answer to your question is no, it cannot.
