Hello Chris, this firearm will accept a standard stock, however, you take it from a handgun to a rifle when you do this. With a barrel this short the ATF would consider it to then fall under the NFA authority. This means that you would first ask their permission to put it on because technically you are building a short barrel rifle, then, you would have to register it with the ATF as a short barreled rifle. To be legal you should not fit the new stock on this firearm until you have their permission. It is kind of screwy because you can take this and make it a SBR but you can't take a rifle and make it a pistol under ATF guidelines. You could avoid all of this by also putting a barrel on it that is over 16". Until something changes that is the world we live in. Here it is straight from the ATF and I speak from experience as well. atf.gov/firearms/qa/can-i-lawfully-make-pistol-rifle-without-registering-firearm. Have a great day and enjoy that firearm
