Michael, The PK380 was the first 380ACP I ever owned (and still have it). It is a very well made, accurate handgun on par with Walther’s other products. I love shooting this gun although I just don’t seem to get the opportunity to shoot it much anymore. There a couple of things that you need to know about this gun though. One is the recoil spring is not captive and is difficult to put back in after field stripping the gun. There are several “tricks” on Youtube as to how to put it back in “easily”. For me, I purchased an 8” long medical forceps with a curved tip (Amazon – about $4) and stand the guide rod on its end. I then place the spring over the rod, compress it down about 1 ½” then lock the forceps in front of the spring to hold it in place. Then simply use the forceps to pick the whole thing up, drop it in place and release the forceps. Easy-peasy… The other issue is the gun come with a plastic key that you use to turn a release to disassemble or relock the slide for field stripping. The key is kind of wonky. What I did is buy a 4 pack of steel tire valve stem covers ($.98) that have a slot in the top to remove the inside of the valve stem. I also purchased a two pack of rubber auto valve stems ($1.98) and screw the valve cover with lock-tite or epoxy glue on them. They fit the guns key perfectly. Aside from these minor quirks, the PK380 is an excellent handgun.
