thanks for all the replies, I sent email to dickinson they have not replied or acknowledged the question.
I suggest to budsgunshop to verify the info displayed of overall lenght 31". In my case if I had bought the gun expecting 31" and I get 38.5 as in one of the replies I would return it ("not as described")
