Is it bad to mount a polymer front sight on my railed gas block? It is same plane as reciever so its kinda tall, maybe less heat up there, not doing mag dumps lol

You should have no issues unless you are talking about "Red Hot' barrel type shooting Shawn. Many polymer sights including Magpul hold up just fine. If you want the ultimate in durability, just go with an "Iron"/Metal sight.
