I shoot competition skeet with Remington 1100s and yes it will cycle good quality target loads with no issues. I will not (unless you get lucky) cycle with the Low recoil and low noise target loads but any quality 1 oz and 1 1/8 oz target loads will be no issue in a properly cleaned and oiled 1100

David, I have not heard of any issues with the Remington 1100 and target loads. I would ask Remington directly on their take on this at TEL: 1-800-243-9700.

My 1100 will shoot the standard target loads just fine. My 1187 though handles 3 inch but really is fussy about what target loads it will cycle.
