Matt these were introduced around 1994 and the 40S&w cartridge around 1990. The owners manual and history of the S&W SW40F does not mention +P as an ammo option. Since this firearm has a semi unsupported chamber (same as the early Glocks) I would shoot just standard 40S&W ammunition in this old a pistol.
