Trigger and action jobs does not need to be done on these, but can be an advantage as long as it didn't effect external operation (like free spin or short strokes). Your gunsmith can advise you on any improvements he can make. As long as you have a .45 with no adjustable rear sight, 4.5" barrel, no modified bent or modern grips. The hammer must also be period correct. The 5158 FD is a great gun to enter with.

Either one of these is great for CAS! Rugers can also handle a lot hotter loads so it's a great choice for versatility! Some people polish the insides and there are a lot of videos online about how to do it yourself but these are really good stock.
