Dear Friends, I own a S&W 500 with 8.38" barrel. Is the HIVIS SW3001G S&W .250 front sight compatible with my gun? How do I know if my gun has an interchangeable sight with spring? If so, any tips on the DIY install? Thanks in advance and have a great day.

Yes, this is compatible Brett. This 500 actually comes with the "Red" version as standard equipment : smith-wesson.com/firearms/model-sw500-0
