Will my Heritage revolver 6RD cylinder be able to work properly using a 9RD cylinder?

no it would not just think of it this way the cylinder would be the same size with More chambers ( closer together) the revolver is designed so that the cylinder rotates the correct (fixed) amount from one chamber to the next and align it with the barrel and firing pin (on the original 6 round cylinder) if you changed to a cylinder with 9 chambers it would over rotate and the chambers would not align with the barrel and firing pin.

Hi Jared, Unfortunately No it would not just think of it this way the cylinder would be the same size with More chambers ( closer together) the revolver is designed so that the cylinder rotates the correct (fixed) amount from one chamber to the next and align it with the barrel and firing pin (on the original 6 round cylinder) if you changed to a cylinder with 9 chambers it would over rotate and the chambers would not align with the barrel and firing pin.

It would not work Jared. The "Timing" built into the cylinder rotational mechanism is totally different from the 6rd cylinders' "Timing". The bullet in the cylinder would not line up with the barrel or the hammer and the pistol would not be fire-able.
