Hi Sarah, the Thunder Pro Compact is a metal frame double stack design so even though small will be a little heavy when fully loaded. A good holster will make it easier to carry concealed. It will conceal very well, just be aware of the weight compared to similar sized polymer framed pistols.
A little big for ankle but with the right holster it is very concealable and in my opinion a very under rated gun My Bersa has been very reliable

Bersa makes a great concealable handgun that works great for the hip carry. Ankle carry is a different beast. I tell most people for personal defense ankle carry is the least desirable location to conceal a firearm. To employ an ankle carry firearm you have to be 110% situational aware to identify a DIRECT threat drop to one knee to retrieve your protection. Once your down on one knee you have given up all tactical advantage. You have hampered your ability to move and seek cover or to get out of the area. Anything larger than the smallest 380 will make running and maneuvering with an ankle gun a challenge. Lets not forget about todays tighter cut clothing that hamper ankel carry. Most LEO's carry on the ankle as an absolute last ditch location. They realize their ankle firearm is the last option when they have lost their primary firearm and someone is on top of them. Not a great position for anyone defending themselves. Look for a good hip holster setup and a good concealable firearm like the Bersa. Ankle holsters are good for TV or those that have a strong chance of ending up on the ground fighting for there life.
