With 3 possible points of focus when shooting (rear sight, front sight, and target), which should be the point of focus when ready to shoot? I have heard 2 opinions. One says focus on the front sight, while another says focus on the target. What do you all say?

If you focus on the front sight you will shoot high under stress. I guarantee it. When I run classes that's usually the first thing we address because the "experts" have decided that's how to go. We teach a target focus and a "Ghost" sight picture for any quick shooting out to 12 yards. Get your stance, focus on a spot on the target, and as you bring the gun to your eye pick up both sights in your peripheral vision and align them as they come to the target and immediately shoot when they hit the spot. Longer range will require you to focus more on the sights but you need to use both sights to get proper alignment and hit anything. Equal light bars on each side of the front sight and the top even with the top of the back sight.
