my question I can use the 2 types of bullets the 223 REM and also 5.56 NATO on the same gun

Hi Steven, Yes you can use both. This barrel is stamped 5.56 so it will shoot bot 5.56 and 223 ammunition without any issues. A 223 stamped barrel should only fire 223 and not fire 5.56 ammunition due to the higher pressure of the 5.56 rounds.
