Does the Gift Card, when spent, apply to the "Cash" price of an item, or is it considered a credit card?

Gift Cards do not get the cash discount. They get the retail price.

I gave my son one, purchased with a credit card. He used it as cash on a pistol purchase.

Mine go as cash and I've used them twice to buy items on layaway and LOVE it and the layaway process. Bud's is great. If you buy a $100 gift card now you get a 1 year Team Buds membership per an email I just saw from them.
