yes they are very good guns but for a beginner could I recommend the xds in 9mm instead the ammo is less expensive and easier to shoot

Good quality pistol to conceal and carry. Small handguns are very difficult to learn to shoot well. Larger handguns are easiest to learn to shoot and 9mm would be much easier to learn to control recoil with. Probably a Glock 19 or a CZ P-01 would be a better place to start.
