Hi Irv, I would purchase the shipping insurance. Most of the time I buy the BUDS lifetime warranty too. It's 20-30 bucks.

The problem in that review could have been prevented by doing one simple thing as per Buds instructions INSPECT the firearm before you accept transfer if it is damaged then refuse the transfer and contact buds for them to get back the damaged gun (from the FFL) and send you a new replacement

I definitely understand the concern Irv. Seems out of place since the reviewer did not have to accept the transfer after inspection. Even if it was damaged after he took it home, the response from Buds and Cimarron seem off. If you are interested, I would proceed and be sure to inspect the gun before you do the transfer paperwork my man.
