  • Shaun, 10mm - 45ACP and other pistol calibers have different recoil impulses. I would begin with this Shaun : youtube.com/watch?v=tItuD6zVKcM --- There is an old saying... everyone has a plan until they get Hit. Since recoil is subjective to the individual doing the shooting, I would suggest you do some actual firing to know exactly what your recoil tolerances for the calibers you seek are.

  • It kicks quite a bit in the 40 ounce 1911 pistol it was designed for. Most professional shooters have opted to use the 9mm or 40 S&W in Single Stack competition because those calibers are more controllable and it gives them an advantage. Here's my 45 ACP custom 1911.
