does the colt ar15a4 have the storage compartment in the end of the stock and is it safe to use the 5.56 alont with the 223 in this rifle

The barrel is stamped 5.56NATO so it will safely fire both 5.56 and 223 ammunition. The butts tock does have the original storage compartment.

the gun is listed as a .223/5.56 so you can use either round I cant find anywhere that says that the stock has a storage compartment I suggest that you contact colt to be sure Colt's Manufacturing Company LLC
