  • Just bought this rifle haven’t fired it yet. Anyone shot Steele casings ? Any problems? Should I stick to brass ??? Let me know please

  • Justin, this rifle will handle steel cased ammunition with absolutely no problems. Just give it a thorough cleaning when switching between steel and brass and you will have no issues. Steel cases do not seal quite as well as brass so you will get more blow by and will have to clean more frequently than when shooting brass cased ammunition.

  • Hey Justin, hope you got it figured out. This rifle should cycle alright with steel cased ammo. Ak's generally do not have a problem with that but it will require cleaning more frequently. Hope that helps!

  • no problems with steel cases you will need to clean more often and some people believe that the upper assembly (barrel) will wear out faster. If you can gather your Brass you can sell it to recover the difference between shooting steel and Brass cased ammo
