20" or 24" .22 magnum

I want a Henry .22 Magnum Lever gun. I'll use it for Lever Action Silhouette. Do I need 24", or will 20" work as well? Balance is more important to me than sight radius.

I'm not sure that 22 magnum is legal for any sanctioned silhouette competition. Usually it's 22 LR. The longer barreled rifle would be muzzle heavy and shoot better offhand.
