How difficult is it for a novice to install a red dot optic (Vortex Viper type) on this gun. I like the MOS system from Glock (Model 40) but like Ruger stainles option.

I'm sorry, but you did not specify what Ruger pistol you are talking about. It is important because some you just can't do it unless you have major modifications and others are Optics ready. I will suggest contacting your local FFL for Gunsmithing so they can give you precise information.

Hi Murphy, no Ruger pistol specified but, if the Ruger has the machined rear slide already, it's just a matter of attaching the bracket/optic and sighting in.
