Michael, Remington had fallen off just a few years ago on quality/quality control perhaps due to some liability lawsuits. They have rebounded and have been producing excellent quality firearms since 2015. I have looked and handled many rifles at my local brick and mortar and rifles are good to go. Similar in quality to my 2008 Remington Sendero.
