Hi Michael it is less expensive and certainly different but a ton of fun. Demo shooting video here : youtube.com/watch?v=ebIOiVdmfjE ---- I would personally recommend the 12Ga and use several available reduced recoil slug and buckshot loads when shooting higher round counts at the range.
Yes it is cheaper to shot but it is much slower
