Is it still legal to own if I put a pistol grip on it ? The grip that comes on it is not a true pistol grip and therefore I wanted to change it out to a true pistol grip firearm.

Depends on your state, but pump shotguns dont have many restrictions at all, so should be just fine.

I think it would be but these firearms are in such a gray area as far as legality that I would be very cautious about and modifications. Even if they are legal you could find yourself defending the mods in court
