Comparison Pros and cons Ruger precision 308 vs 6.5 creedmore Want to buy it as a fun gun / shtf gun and I like it the 6.5 sheets further put 308 would be a more common animal and more readily available anybody have any opinions on which one

Accuracy is even for each cartridge's effective range Mike. As you stated the 308 is a staple round that is very versatile, accurate and can be found everywhere at a moments notice. The 6.5Creedmoor will buck wind and have way less drop past 500 yards so your choice should be decided by the distance you will ultimately shoot. That said, I would choose the 6.5.
