Sorry about the echo in here ….both answers here are correct, so I'll just add that I have this gun but in 9mm. They are great shooters for the range or competition. The trigger is clean and crisp and mine functions beautifully with all the ammo I've run through it. Beautifully finished and will make a nice addition to any gun safe or range bag.
Hi Joseph, It is a series 70 1911 (no firing pin safety and has an internal extractor). Kimber Target II's have a Swartz Safety which is closer to s Series 80.
