  • Will it damage the spring in the magazine to keep it loaded with the full 6 rounds?

  • It will not Gary. Spring quality has improved a great deal in recent years. The spring metal will not take a permanent set.

  • The average person will never wear out a spring in a magazine and keeping them loaded will not hurt them I have 1911 military issue mags that have been used for over 40 years with no issues and they are always kept loaded

  • The spring will probably degrade about 1/16 inch in 5 years if it is kept loaded and depressed so keeping it loaded is not an issue. Springs wear when you load and shoot and the spring is constantly worked up and down and should be replaced yearly if you shoot alot.
