What is the difference between 70444 and 70442?

Daniel, just the caliber and stock and metal finish. The 7442 is 44Magnum, checkered stock and standard "Blued " Finish. The 7444 is 45 Long Colt, "Non Checkered" Stock and Marlin's "Mar-Shield finish".

Daniel, Model 7444 is 45 long colt and 7442 is 44 mag. Plus difference in stock options

7442 is 44 mag checkered and Blued finish 7444 is 45 lc non checkered stock and "mar-shield" finish
