John, I have a 840 that shooting 4" low at 25'. I fix the problem by change the front sight to a taurus 1911 front sight and problem solved. pt1911 front sights have same dovetail profile as 800s and 24/7s. So.. just search online for aftermarket or call taurus for a steel, get the front sight which is for PT1911 and put it on. After some sight adjustment you are good to go!
