  • I just moved to South Carolina. I haven't got my SC drivers license yet, but own a house here. Can I still purchase a handgun?

  • I would check with the FFL holder that you are going to use because it is up to him as to weather he will do the transfer or not. on the other hand you could put the gun on layaway and have 90 days to get your new SC drivers license or ID

  • Yes, but you will need an updated ID to to make the transfer at your FFL. A temporary license with your old license would be fine. I've had to do this myself once. I used the new printed out temporary license and my expired license and it was not a problem. A camera card with the old license is good enough in PA. Maybe Mortgage documents with your social# on it and your old ID. You should call your local FFL and get advice on what to bring. But for Buds, as long as your shipping location area matches your billing address, its okay on Buds end.
