Unfortunately it is not legal in NJ. Pistol grip, flash suppressor, threaded barrel, adjustable stock. Any of the two make it NJ prohibited. budsgunshop.com/catalog/feeds/state_reg/new_jersey_restrictions.pdf

Hui, yes, this is a bolt action rifle and is not subject to the same restrictions as a "Semi-Auto" Rifle.
