Is the Springfield XDM 9mm DAO?
It is a striker fired weapon which is not either a SA or a DA here is a good article about the different trigger types gunzmart.com/blog/understanding-handgun-actions/
Joseph, No the XDM is a striker fired firearm (single action). The reference to double action is in regards to the trigger safety that must be depressed to pull the trigger to fire. This firearm also has a grip safety that must be engaged to release striker.

Joseph, this particular XD(m) is "Striker Fired" Action the same as the Glock line of Pistols and others. Simply put, this means it has no restrike capability without racking the slide in case of a misfire. A DAO you would be able to just pull the trigger again in case of a misfire.
