Irv, I don't think this rifle is "Drilled and Tapped". There is provision on the tang for the fitting of a longer-range sight, should you wish to shoot at longer distances, and Chiappa does make one for this gun. I would confirm this with Chiappa's Customer Service at 1 937.835.5000 or by email inquiry here : info@chiappafirearms.com
