I had a bushmaster carbon 15 . Is this the best ar 15 for the money? And u can shoot both .223 and 5.56 ammo correct? And what's with the groove in the barrel? I'm not familiar?

Eric, yes, the Del-ton is one of the best at this price point. The Barrel is "Stamped" 5.56NATO so it will fire 223 and 5.56 ammunition just fine. The barrel twist rate is 1:9" Twist.
