Jeff, if this is a recent purchase, I would not attempt any fixes just for warranty sake and contact Buds Customer Service at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon-Sat and 11am - 7pm Sun (7 days a week).

I just read a review about that problem on that model 1911 and it was fixed by switching to a good quality magazine...also a dirty or damaged extractor might be the problem...as well as" limp wristing" ... caused by fatigue or not being familiar with recoil of a specific firearm and how firmly it needs to be held... Good luck, I hope it's an easy fix for you.....
