  • I have the CZ PCR that I don’t shoot very well even after new grips and sights. Considering a trade for HKP30SK. I have only held but no experience with HK. Would be for car and possible future carry. Advice appreciated.

  • HKs are good firearms. I'm just curious your past shooting experience, what it is about your PCR that you 'don't shoot it well'. Have you asked any of your friends to try it? Did they have the same problems? The CZs are usually pretty accurate firearms. I believe the HKP30SK is a sub-compact with a short grip, isn't it? I've found it more difficult for many shooters to accurately shoot pistols with the short grips than the ones with the longer grips I would recommend you go to a range and rent two or three different pistols, and try them. Nothing can replace actual firing line experience, as far as finding what you really like, and what you shoot well. It would certainly give you a better idea of what you need to look for. OR, alternatively, go to a range with a couple of friends, and shoot their pistols. I've ran into some pistols that I just couldn't seem to shoot well ... but in most cases I found it was me, and not the pistol, to blame. Don't get in a hurry, and try out as many different pistols as you can before you commit. Practice your shooting fundamentals - good grip, solid stance, sight picture, breath control, trigger squeeze - and relax a bit. Good shooting comes with good practice and good form. Great shooting comes with great practice, and great form. Whatever you decide, best of luck.

  • HKs are nice guns I for one don't like the way they feel. I suggest seeing if a local range has any as rentals so you can try one before you buy or even a store so you can handle one

  • Order 1000 rounds of ammo and put it through your CZ. You will find you shoot it better when you’re done and it will cost less than an HK.

  • Since most pistols are inherently more accurate than most shooters, I would attach a low cost laser and use it as a visual aid. That dot will expose any flaws in your shooting technique and you can adjust accordingly. If you can find the shooting book called X-Point Shooting, you will find valuable tips to shoot just about any pistol accurately. Good luck.
