Does this shotgun have slam-fire, where you can hold the trigger and just pump the stock?

Garrett, no, the 870 has a dis-connector that prevents "Slam Firing". The Remington 870 was specifically designed to prevent "slam-fire" and and to prevent the action from being modified to do so. In years past there were some Slam Fire Trigger Groups available but, they are rare as hen's teeth now. rem870.com/2012/05/20/slam-fire-remington-870/
The 870 was designed to prevent slam fire by introducing a trigger disconnect. So short answer, no.
Garrett - No the 870 will not slam fire, without a modification to the action. Most gunsmiths will not make this modification, due to liability problems.
