Depends where you live. If Bud's has a store in your state you will be charged tax. If your state requires it you will be charged tax on interstate sales. If your state doesn't require it yet they probably will soon.
If you live in/pick the gun up in Kentucky, you'll pay Kentucky Sales tax at the time of paying for the firearm (or accessories) Buds ships firearms for free. If you have a firearm shipped to a FFL dealer in your state (and not Kentucky) you may pay state sales tax for that state, depending on the law and how the FFL dealer does business. Hope this ehlps. I know it can get confusing at times.
Buds will collect sales tax at your state's tax rate.
you will pay the tax rate for your home state the courts ruled in 2018 that online retailers must collect sales taxes for states where their customers live (your home state)
To answer that you'd have to give a few more details. Are you picking up in a buds gun shop store or having it shipped to your local ffl dealer?

buds will charge sales taxes based on where you live here is why this change came about "On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court fundamentally changed the rules for collection of sales tax by Internet-based retailers. In its decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc., the Court effectively stated that individual states can require online sellers to collect state sales tax on their sales" nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/50-state-guide-internet-sales-tax-laws.html
