  • All firearms must ship to an ffl. You can look through buds transfer dealers in your area and find one willing to accept it. They will charge a fee that varies. My dealer charges 15 dollars. That’s cheaper than paying sales tax.

  • all the people who say that you will not pay sales tax they are incorrect buds will charge sales taxes based on where you live here is why. this change came about "On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court fundamentally changed the rules for collection of sales tax by Internet-based retailers. In its decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc., the Court effectively stated that individual states can require online sellers to collect state sales tax on their sales" nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/50-state-guide-internet-sales-tax-laws.html

  • Yes a FFL is required to receive and do the transfer paperwork they charge a transfer fee Normally $15.00 $45.00 (its up to the FFL) I suggest checking with your local dealer and seeing if you save anything after the transfer fee

  • Myron - Check with your FFL and see how much they charge for a transfer. Add that to the price of the rifle here, and then see which is better for you .. and don't forget sales tax, if you buy one locally. Usually Buds comes out the least expensive, as they ship fo rfree and don't charge sales tax unless you live in KY. .

  • Myron, it is just as easy to purchase online as the vendor will ship the rifle to your FFL of choice and they will transfer the firearm to you after the paperwork/background approval and transfer fee which averages $25 to $35. Buds will collect sales tax so there really is no difference other than the usually better price of the firearm.
