Its stainless and a semi glossy Black PVD finish it is a nice looking gun

Colt Combat Elite Government Series 80 .45 ACP Semi Auto Pistol
Trev: The slide and frame 'flats' (sides) are highly polished stainless while the rest is more of a darkened, matte stainless. Those highly polished flats ARE almost like a mirror. The controls and sights are black stainless, and the grips are black. This is a Series 70 1911, meaning it doesn't have the firing pin 'drop safety', but you get the much better (IMO) trigger than on the Series 80. Beautiful piece of worksmanship
