If you were referring to this one budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/36684/Firearms/Rifles/Henry+Repeating+Arms/Henry+Rimfire+Rifles/HENRY+H004L+GOLDENBOY+22LR+LARGE+LOOP it has an octagon barrel. If you've never owned a Henry, you're in for a treat. the actions are smoooooth as butter! They are heirlooms, and will last for generations, and so much fun to shoot. If you were talking about another rifle, please post specific model and we'll get yoru question resolved. Thanks. .
