David, it is excellent. Both the Slide and Frame are made of Forged Stainless Steel and the 5" Stainless Steel Match Grade will likely be more accurate that the capability of most shooters. its the best finish that springfield has and I feel that the Range officer is the best value in the Springfield line of guns It is accurate, reliable and has a lot of upgraded features
