every gun is different we could have the exact same model and on my love the remingon 55 grain soft point and the other gun shoot it like a shotgun pattern (30 inch circle) I suggest picking up a few different types of ammo at your local retailer and trying them before making a big mail order ammo purchase

John, The ammunition that improves your eye sight is best. I would lean towards a 55 gr round in a short barrel. I like all the Fiocchi rounds. There is a lot of good stuff out there.
