Is the Taurus 22PLY the same as the Taurus PT22?

you could call the PT22ply the Gen 2 as that seems to be the term everyone wants to use it is a polymer version of the metal pt22

Ron - The PT22 is the older version, and has a metal (alloy) frame. The PT22PLY has a polymer frame, and replaced the PT 22, which has been discontinued. Here is a video comparing the two.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho7zYHj5BtA. Check out the Taurus TX-22 (16 round magazine)
