I just found out my local FFL is a guy in a private home, and he does not answer his phone..I t goes to busy signal. He is a Bud's preferred FFL. I did buy the insurance. Is this reason for concern?

No reason for concern. As an FFL dealer he was all kinds of people helping you watch him.

Lots of FFL dealers work day jobs full time and open after 3:30pm. I would try them in the afternoon. But until you receive the firearm and accept the transfer, you will be protected by Buds.

Just a minor one at this time. Buds will supply you with a "Tracking" number when shipped. Go to the website and setup email notification for progress status. Once it is delivered and he does not answer, you should be able to just go there to pick it up. He probably just does this part time and does not regularly clean out his voicemail.

It's not totally unheard of for a home based FFL. Once the firearm is delivered, try to contact him to complete the paperwork. If you can't get in touch after a few days, I would call buds and let them sort it out. If it hasn't shipped yet, call buds immediately and have them send elsewhere.
