BudsGunShop.com - 270 FOR CLOSE RANGE SHOTS ON DEER

I have a 270 for deer hunting but most of my shots are 40 yards less maybe even as close as 15 or 20 yards and I don't want to ruin too much meat can I get help with ammo selection? I thought about dropping to a 243 Winchester but then I think what if I have a 100- 150 yard shot I don't want to be under gunned if a big bodied 200 or 250 pound buck steps out

The premium mono-metal bullets like Hornady GMX or Barnes TSX will ruin the least meat. It eats a hole through the animal without being explosive. I've actually shot some deer with these bullets.
