Deanna, Sure can put varied uppers on this mil-spec lower: 5.56, 223, 224 Wylde, 300 Blackout, 6.8, 6.5, etc.

Deanna, this rifle does have a Mil-Spec Lower and the Upper can be swapped to a different caliber such as 5.56.
