does anyone know if these are iron sights?

By definition they are iron sights because they are not optical sights, and material-wise they are made of steel. The rear sight is all black and the front sight has a white dot with tritium insert. remington.com/handguns/model-1911-r1-carry/1911-r1-carry-commander
