  • Purchased a new CZ SP01 Tactical 9mm handgun awhile back. Extractor broke soon after purchase during a USPSA competition. CZ USA fixed and returned. By the third box of 50 rounds, extractor is failing two out of every 10 rounds, but has not broken yet.
Question: Great gun, but does the model have an issue with extractors (or ejectors for that matter)?
Want to use it in USPSA competition, but the extractor prohibits it. Thoughts on design and remedy would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Dierck, that is a little too soon of a repeat failing after replacement. I would let CZ know of the situation to see if they can provide a more reliable option. Also Cajun Gun Works upgrades a lot of their pistols to competition levels at : https://cajungunworks.com/

  • I shoot CZ's in competition too and usually the only time we have extractor issues is with reloads that are a bit too hot. Are you using Titegroup and loading towards the warm end of the spectrum?

  • Extractors/ejectors are NOT a common problem I suggest that you contact CZ again and they will take care of you.
